The annual pledge drive for 2010 is NOW through November 2010. We often pledge for different reasons, but we all are blessed with the knowledge that our pledge will help us grow spiritually as individuals and a parish. Here is what you can look forward to:
- Information tables and pledge collection boxes in the narthex and parish hall
- Sermons and Indabe discussion group exploring the true meaning of stewardship
- Progress reports during the service and by email
- Special coffee hour celebration at the end of the campaign
- Reminders to those who have not yet pledged
Ensure the future of Transfiguration ministries and pledge today by giving all that you can. Remember to increase your pledge by at least 5-10% making it closer to the traditional tithe of 10% of annual income. Didn’t get a pledge packet at Transfiguration or in the mail? What are the goals of the Stewardship Commission?
Christian stewardship is everything we do after we say "We Believe.' It is a way of life and the main work of the Church. The goal of the Stewardship Commission is to create an atmosphere that celebrates the richness of parish life at Transfiguration. Each of us is encouraged to reflect on the following question: "How do I best respond to God's gifts?"
When Is Stewardship season?
Trick question- Stewardship is our combined commitments throughout the entire year!
What does Stewardship mean to Transfiguration?
Stewardship is our response to God’s gifts and everything we do after we say “we believe”. It is our intentional and meaningful commitment of time, talent and treasures throughout the year. The Stewardship Commission organizes several events to help parish members find opportunities to be faithful stewards.
Time
Annual Time and Time Ministry Fair — an opportunity to showcase our many in-reach and outreach ministries to newcomers and established members alike. We feature a central booth in the Parish Hall to display our various projects and activities and to encourage members to renew existing commitments and consider new ones.
Talent
Stewardship Training- Members of our committee regularly renew enthusiasm and receive fresh ideas from the diverse training opportunities offered by our Diocese and by programs put on by other churches. We strongly encourage other parishioners to attend these insightful gatherings and become active members of the Stewardship Committee.
Educational Parish Publications- We use a variety of materials for "did you know" reminders, announcements of upcoming stewardship events, and educational tools. Materials are included in the Transcript, Sunday bulletins, parish bulletin boards, this web site and mailings. Written materials and pamphlets can be picked up at the stewardship corner in the parish library at any time.
Treasure
Annual pledge campaign- Stewardship is not simply about money. The annual campaign asks each of us how do we prayerfully respond to God’s gifts? In addition to our personal growth through giving, pledges support our many Transfiguration ministries.
Pledge your time, talent, and treasures TODAY!!!
