Action in Montgomery
AIM is a countywide, multiracial, interfaith, nonpartisan citizens organization with 32 congregational members representing over 31,600 adults. AIM is an affiliate of the Industrial Areas Foundation [IAF].
Other IAF affiliates in the DC/Baltimore Metro Area: Washington Interfaith Network (WIN), Baltimoreans United In Leadership Development (BUILD), People Acting Together in Howard (PATH) & Northern Virginia Clergy Sponsors. These organizations passed the first living wage law in the United States (Baltimore), won a $16 million dedicated annual fund for affordable housing in Montgomery County, and just this year secured a $550 Million Neighborhood Investment Fund for DC neighborhoods. Together, these organizations have trained thousands of leaders for public action at the local, state, and national level.
